The Halloween Edit: Spooky, Stylish & a Little Cooky
My favorite Halloween finds on Etsy for the porch, the table, the kids and everywhere in between.
I love Halloween, but I’m pretty particular about Halloween decor. I want it to feel a little spooky, a little nostalgic, maybe a little weird—but still like something I’d actually want in my house.
So naturally, I went down an Etsy rabbit hole.
I found handmade ceramics, wonderfully strange black cats, folk-art skulls, tiny pumpkin candles, a very dramatic raven wreath and some genuinely cute things for the kids. Basically, Halloween decorations with personality.
FOR THE PORCH
Black Cat & Moon Door Hanger
This might be the find that started the whole list. The primitive black cat and oversized moon have that slightly wonky, vintage Halloween look I love. Festive without feeling mass-produced.

Enchanted Raven Wreath
Spanish moss, branches and a black raven—this one is dramatic in the best way. I love that it feels more like an overgrown, slightly haunted garden than a traditional Halloween wreath.
Skeleton Yard Stakes
I’m always a fan of decorations that make me laugh. These little skeletons popping out of the landscaping would be so good mixed into an otherwise pretty front garden.
Light-Up Ghost Candy Bowl
Equal parts decoration and candy delivery system. Put him by the front door on Halloween night and call it done.

FOR THE HALLOWEEN TABLE
This might be my favorite category. I don’t necessarily want an entire set of Halloween dishes, but give me a few strange little additions to mix into a pretty table and I’m happy.

This little ghost makes me ridiculously happy. I’d use one under a bowl or centerpiece rather than necessarily buying an entire table’s worth—it gives you just enough Halloween.

The vintage illustrations sold me immediately. Put one at each place setting for a Halloween dinner or kids’ party.

FOLK ART + DÍA DE LOS MUERTOS
Some of my favorite finds in this entire search were the handmade Mexican and folk-art pieces. They're colorful, detailed and beautiful enough to live in the house long after the Halloween decorations come down.

Definitely one of the splurge pieces on my list—and one of my favorites. It’s handmade folk art from Guadalajara and feels more like collected art than seasonal decoration.
Dia De Los Muertos Candle Holder
Colorful, handmade and something I’d happily display beyond one night of the year. I love pieces like this because they add so much more personality than traditional seasonal decor.
Marigold & Butterfly Garland
I love the combination of marigolds and butterflies, and the wood construction makes this feel especially charming. Beautiful for an ofrenda or layered into fall decor.

I couldn't leave this little guy out. A sweet addition for remembering a beloved pet—and possibly the cutest thing in this entire roundup.

I will always make room for a few Halloween things that are just plain fun.

Simple, cute and personalized with their name. This is the kind of thing you can pull out every October instead of buying another plastic bucket.

This is so much better than a basic costume-store witch hat. The quilted fabric and slightly floppy shape make it feel like something from a storybook.
THE HALLOWEEN EDIT
Apparently my Halloween formula is vintage black cats + handmade pottery + folk art + one or two slightly unhinged skeletons.
And I’m okay with that.
What I love most about shopping small for holidays is finding pieces that don't look exactly like everything else in the seasonal aisle. You can add one or two each year, mix them with things you already own, and eventually end up with a Halloween collection that actually feels like you.
